► WHAT I DO: I help Executives, Entrepreneurs, and Artists draw on the Wisdom and Disciplines of Samurai Culture applied in a contemporary context… WITHOUT the barriers of language, time, accessibility, guidance, or gender.

► HOW I DO IT: I provide experiences, virtual events, lecture-demonstrations, and individual coaching online applying Samurai Wisdom to business, drawing on nearly 50 years mastering Samurai Arts, and close association with Masters of Zen and Japanese Culture.

► WHY IT WORKS: My long journey can lead to your short path moving from Mystery to Mastery. It is commonly assumed that years of deep practice are required to master an art or craft. However, there is a way to accelerate learning and enhance performance if you have a good coach and focus on the RIGHT things.

WAGI and Health Life Extension

Professional Kyogen and Noh actors in Japan perform well into their nineties and lead long, healthy lives. The average lifespan in Japan is high, with men living healthily until 72 and women until 81. Shigeyama Sensaburo Sensei developed WAGI to promote longevity and health, focusing on good posture, deep breathing, and inner muscle exercises. WAGI practices harness energy from oxygen converted by mitochondria, offering benefits like detoxification, immune system, and overall energy.

Samurai Walk: Improving Your Life in Three Ways

① Head: The first step is get clear in our head about our Mission, written in Japanese as the word 志 (Kokorozashi, literally Samurai 士 + Mind 心). The Quality of our Life is determined in no small measure by the Quality of our Thoughts. The GPS on our phone tells us where we are on the earth. We need a GPS to tell us where we are in Life. The tool for this is the Mandala Chart.

② Heart: Once we are clear about where we are and where we are going, we need to communicate our passion to others. Nothing can be accomplished relying only on yourself. Whether online or in person, the better you present yourself the more likely you are to find support in accomplishing your goals. The best place to Master your Speaking Style.

③ Hara: In Japanese the word 肚 (Hara) refers to the Vital Center, located in the lower abdomen, centered in the pelvis and supported by the Sacrum. It is the foundation of good posture, and the source of stability and power of action. The surest way to overcome physical and mental inertia is in the Daily Practice of Nanba Walking.

A sustainable way to improve your Life is through continuous improvement in alignment of Head, Heart, and Hara.

The Samurai Crest I choose to express this is Aranami ni Ho, Three Sails to the Rough Wind and Waves.

The Samurai created a Culture based on Mastery of practical wisdom. Even in a contemporary context the fundamentals still apply. Start with basic principles and applications, and learn how to make continual improvements one step at a time.
